Bordering the guest accommodation, the Mangateitei Stream and the Mangawhero Rivers flow from the base of the Turoa ski field, beside the Ohakune Mountain Road, and along the border of Ohakune.

Excellent place to stay! Scott the owner was extremely welcoming and made us feel like family. The place was also beautiful and relaxing right along the rivers and overlooking the mountains. It was close to restaurants and other areas. It was a great way to stop as we were driving throughout the North Island. I’d highly recommend and hope to come back again.

Scott is a great host who takes great pride in customer comfort and service. We stayed in the room with the spa for 2 nights. It has all the amenities you require and is very comfortable with a touch of luxury as advertised. The spa is wonderful with a fantastic view, As is the outside deck with a great setting set to the sound of the two rivers. Shower power is great. It's an easy very pretty walk to the town for eating. Scott has owned two rivers for 7 .months and is very open to feedback and is clearly making improvements all the time.

Serene location overlooking the mountains, lovely and responsive hosts with fantastic local knowledge and recommendations, very clean room and plushy comfortable bed, welcome snacks and abundant options for breakfast, spa bath!!!
